Responding to Asli's Lesson

  1. Ali did well in her lesson class because all of her students participated and eager to learn and did every activities that she did. They can remember all of vocabularies and try to learn. She should change the way that picked up the student's name to be a teacher.The student should pick up their friend's name up.
    In my opinion Asli is very active, energetic and friendly teacher. I learn a lot of teaching technique from Asli such as : how to motivate, feedback and correct the students. How to mange the class, how to present vocabularies, create the activities that suit with students.

  2. In my opinion, I think Asli did well in many stages such as lead-in stage. She get Ss into the adj. lesson by using adj. masks to review and elicit Ss schemata. She also explained Ss more by using gestures. On the other hand, I think she should add more activities for high ability Ss.
    Asli is a friendly and kind teacher. In her class, she did everything with good rapport such as took a good care of everyone and always say students name. Moreover, she also gave ss feedback after the lesson. For summary, I think I can learn a lot of teaching techniques from Asli’s lesson; how to managing the class, how to get Ss interest, how to give ss feedback and how to teach young learner.

    2. Yes. I always use games to memory ss name such as use word rhyme and always repeat ss name as much as possible.

  4. My opinion about Asli. I think it's good, because she teaches very well. She has many stages to teach the students,lead in, presentation,practice,production
    and feedback. She use teaching material. It useful for the students.They can enjoy activities and understand lesson. The students are very happy. They know the
    meaning of vocabulary and then They can make sentences. I think can learn a lot of technique to teach the students in the classroom.

    2. My different stages of Asli's lesson is Lead in. I use the picture show in the projector and ask about feeling in the picture.and I use action games for practice
      them about feeling vocabulary. I think it easy to identify. Yes,it it 's clear for me.

  5. In my opinion, Asli used many techniques in every stages such as : lead-in, presentation, practice , production and feedback. During teaching, she motivated students and created a good relationship to students by many activities. For example, motivating students. I can learn from Asli such as How to manage the class, how to present vocabularies, how to create the activities that suit for students and everything has useful to me.

In my opinion, I think she does well in her lesson about teaching emotions for her students.She tries to elicit to get more vocabularies from students.IT makes them feel active learning in the classroom.I like the step of her teaching.She starts the lesson with Pre-teaching ,while-teaching and Post-teaching .These are the most important for teachers to use in class.On the other hand she should use singing a song about emotion's vocabulary to her students because the song can makes children get more understand and remembering. It's suitable for students. She is very kind and friendly.She is a beautiful teacher.I will try to get the step of her teaching and plan my teaching like her I think it can improve my teaching and my students are the happiest!!!!! !!!!

    1. By 'while-teaching' do you mean 'practise' or 'produce' language? And by 'post-teaching' do you mean 'get feedback'?

  7. In my opinion, I think Asli did very well in her class. She started her class by invited students to presented in front of class in the topic "who can be a teacher?" most of students was happy to get chance to be a teacher. After that she processed the classroom by active learning ,practice by individual ,in pairs that made good rapport between teacher and student ,student and student and let the student to give their feedback to her when finished class. For summary,I think I can learn about techniques design activities and how to achieve student and how to manage young learner student and I will adapt all to my classroom.

    2. I will adapt of all her'steps in my class. Especially the steps of presentation and practice. Asli used many materials for teaching Example Feeling masks or power point. She designed student to practice in various steps and always take care student in her class. I hope my class for interesting.

  8. In my opinion, I think she's an excellent teacher. Thus she teaches her students step by step such as Lead in, pre- teaching, resentation, practise, production, feedback, post-teaching while she is teaching students so she motivates students then let them participate in every activities. She monitors the students all the time. She uses English language with the students all the time. She is a good take care teacher for students. Many students have a good attitude and happiness with English class with Asli's lesson.

  9. In my opinion, Asli teaches very well. She uses many technique . such as Lead-in,Presentation,Practice,Production,Feedback. She motivates students and creates a good relationship to students with many activities. Students can understand and use the vocabulary in the correct meaning.

  10. In my opinion, I think Asli is a good teacher. She planned her teaching completely before teaching. So she can follow her teaching plan correctly (She uses 2 Ws and 3Ps technique =warm up, presentation, practice, production and wrap up) that makes her students enjoying studying English and getting knowledge about vocabulary so much.

    1. Do you try to follow Asli's 2 Ws & 3 Ps technique for some of your lessons? Do you have to do this yourself or does the textbook often provide this sequence of activities for you?

    2. In fact I have already replied your comment but I don't know how it doesn't appear. So I rewrite again. For me I have used 2 Ws & 3 Ps technique for many years (more than 20 years). As soon as I see Asli's lesson I knew that she used the same technique as me. Yes, I do.

  12. To my way of thinking,I think Asli is friendly teacher and have the relationship with her students. She did well in many steps such as she get students into the adjective lesson by using adjective masks to show them and pronounce adjective words and student repeat after her.Next she divided student to work in pair.I saw her did a good rapport for example she know her students name,eye talk, pay attention to her students what they say and they do.The last feedback from her student she asked her students Are you happy? For summary,I think I can learn a lot of teaching techniques from Asli’s lesson; how to managing the class, how to get student interest, how to give student feedback and how to teach young learner.

    2. Yes, I have a favorite activity like a"Hangman Game" That I would like to teach about a new vocabularies. And another activities such as"Two truth and a lie" Tell three sentences or three short stories true or lie "Charades"use body language to explain vocabulary card is a n. v. adj etc. "Don't forget the....." work in group then write the list what they want to go shopping. "20 questions" ask the question about a person, animal, fruit or thing and answer with YES or NO.20 questions.

In my opinion, Asli is good at organizing and managing the class in teaching integrated language skills by following teaching procedure with many techniques :a small game, mingle match and teacher talk that make students always active, preparing both materials and classroom technology and creating a good rapport between her and students (and students and students) while she gives the feedback and correction to them.
    On the other hand, I think she could have asked the students to tell about their own activity and feeling to achieve genuine communication. However, I admire her as a well-prepared, friendly, patient, caring, creative, flexible and helpful teacher.
    I think I can learn from Asli that “A good teacher creates successful classrooms.”

  14. That is a really good idea, isn't it? How would you personalise this task? Would you perhaps ask the students to complete sentences of their own? ... makes me happy! ... makes me scared!

    1. Stripes of Phrases can be prepared for them to choose according to their interests to complete by talking to peers.

  15. Asli did very well in her class. She taught the vocabularies through the activity and visual aid (feeling masks). She taught in many ways such as pair work with flash video, mingle with matching cards. Moreover, she motivated student to review the lesson naturally by using question and answer.
    In my opinion, I think she should use several techniques for getting volunteers in class. I saw many students raised their hand up when they wanted to answer but Asli chose only one or two students to answer. I think students who didn’t get the chance to answer will feel disappointed. I think she is creative, energetic, friendly and resourceful teacher. After I saw Asli lesson, I learned the how to motivate student to join the activities and learn the vocabulary together and how to use the question-answer technique in class as much as possible.

After watching the video,I like the way that Asly use for her teaching,because she had an interesting activity that make the students were alert all time.Using drawing and masks can make the students fun and they happily learning.In addition,she well managed her class with asking Questions and give the correct sentences to her students.However,I think there were some students who was call their names that is very important to make students have good attitude in class.Therefore,teacher should remember all the students'name.
