Earlier today you participated in some workshops in which you and your peers introduced some teaching activities to supplement a lesson from a coursebook.

Write something that you learned today, for instance, about an activity you observed others teach, and that you could usefully adopt in your classroom.

iSL Collective & An A-Z of ELT

Have a look at some of the English language teaching activities on iSL Collective. Use the tool bar to search for resources to teach a grammar structure, an area of vocabulary or a language function (or something else). If you find some activities you like, you can register and download them.

Alternatively, explore Scott Thornbury's blog, An A-Z of ELT (English Language Teaching). Choose some topics of interest and read or listen to what Scott has to say about them.

Then write about one of these websites on the blog.

If you choose to write about the iSL Collective, answer the following questions:
1) How would you rate the range of worksheets available on the site?
2) How would you rate the quality of worksheets available on the site?
3) What was the title of the best worksheet you found today and why did you like it?

If you choose to write about An A-Z of ELT, list some of the sections you explored and say which of Scott's posts you found most interesting and why.

Responding to John's Lesson

Hi all. We'd like to give you the opportunity to respond to John's lesson. Just add your responses by commenting on this post.

What, in your opinion, did John do well in his lesson?

Would you have taught his content differently? Why? How?

In what ways is John's teaching style similar to Asli's, and in what ways is it different?

What did you gain as a teacher from watching John's lesson?
